Snap-8 is an octapeptide modelled on the N-terminal end of SNAP-25, one of the SNARE proteins that assemble to allow vesicle fusion at the synapse. Supplied as a 10 mg lyophilised vial.
Its research premise is competitive: by mimicking that segment it is studied for interference with SNARE complex formation, which is a different mechanism from the copper-complex peptides in this catalogue and a different one again from anything receptor-mediated. It is an extended version of the earlier hexapeptide in the same family.
Supplied lyophilised per vial. Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, keep the working solution refrigerated and protected from light.
Related cosmetic-research peptides in stock: GHK-Cu, AHK-Cu. See our lab reports for purity data.
For laboratory research use only.
